Introducing The PAVILION
at Pickering House

It has been the challenge and honor of our lifetimes to save the historic Pickering House from destruction and open Pickering House Inn and The Barn at Pickering House. It has been an amazing first year of operations! Now, we are incredibly excited to announce the next step to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience!

Permitting and design is underway to transform the original Avery Building, which is adjacent to Pickering House Inn and part of what was known in the 1800’s as “Banker’s Row.” The PAVILION restaurant will be the centerpiece of the renovation. Named in honor of The Pavilion Hotel, built and operated by Daniel Pickering and his son-in-law on a site opposite today’s Pickering House Inn, The PAVILION will offer great food and spirits, a great environment, and — we hope — a great sense of community. An amazing culinary team has already joined us to participate in creating a destination dining experience!

So…. here we go on our next big project! Thank you to our Inn staff, guests and the incredible Wolfeboro community for your support over the past few years. We couldn’t even consider taking this exciting new step without you!

Our Executive Chef & Partner

We are pleased to welcome Chef Jonathan Hudak as our Executive Chef and partner in The PAVILION. When we first tasted Jonathan’s food in Connecticut, we knew we wanted him to lead our culinary team and take the food services at Pickering House Inn to the next level. We have been collaborating with him almost since the the idea for The Pavilion began to take shape and are thrilled to finally welcome Jonathan and his fiancée, Aleks, to Wolfeboro!

Jonathan built a reputation in Connecticut for what a glowing New York Times restaurant review referred to as “a way of creating surprising combinations that thrill the taste buds.” Jonathan calls his cuisine “New American,” blending the many flavors of our melting pot of a country with a commitment to sourcing from the region’s farmers, fishermen and cheese makers. Menus change frequently to take advantage of what is in season locally.
